Happy Holidays!
A Message from the ECM@IU

Dear Canterburians,

We would like to thank all of you for your continued support, and wish you a pleasant, peaceful Winter Break. We look forward to continuing our mission, with your help, in 2019.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and safe travels this holiday season,

The Episcopal Campus Ministry at IUAnnouncements100 Pairs of Shoes
During the Thanksgiving holiday, ECMIU received 100 pairs of new shoes for children, women and men. Half the shoes were sent to Father Frederick, a priest who has an Anglican/Episcopal congregation in rural Haiti. The other half of the shoes was sent to Marilyn Rolon, who is one of the founders of the Vietnam Estudia, a community based after-school program in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Puerto Rico. ECMIU members spent time with Marilyn and the children this summer.

 Canterburian Now a Doctor
Marquese Carter, long-time member of the Canterbury worshipping congregation of ECMIU, finished his doctoral studies, passed his exams, and will receive his doctorate degree from Indiana University on Saturday morning. ECMIU will host a reception for Marquese and his family on Saturday at 12:30 at Canterbury House. Please join us for this festive occasion.

Please add ECMIU to your Christmas Gift List
During Advent, we await the celebration of the birth of Jesus and the joyous celebration of Christmas. During this season, the ministry awaits all pledges from ECMIU supporters – students and their parents, faculty, and friends of ECMIU. We encourage all people to contribute to ECMIU and Canterbury House. Due to a substantial cut from the diocese in our program budget, campus ministries are working to plug the gap in our budgets for 2019. The share of the cut for ECMIU will exceed $3,000.00. Please consider putting us on your Christmas gift list.
